Craftiverse uses cookies and similar technologies. A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit our website. Below we explain which cookies we use and what for.
1. Necessary cookies
These cookies are needed to make the website work — for example to remember your cart and language choice and complete your order securely. No consent is required for these cookies, and they cannot be switched off.
We remember your cookie choice in your browser and in the functional cookie cv_consent on craftiverse.nl (kept for one year after your last visit). It only records which categories you allow, so our checkout on checkout.craftiverse.nl also knows your choice. If you choose "Necessary only", we don't place this cookie.
We also pass your choice on to Shopify, the software behind our webshop and checkout. Shopify stores it in the cookies _tracking_consent and _shopify_essential, so the checkout respects your choice.
2. Statistics
Only if you allow statistics do we use Google Analytics (cookies _ga and _ga_…) and Microsoft Clarity (cookies _clck and _clsk) to understand how visitors use our website, so we can improve it. In that case we also use Google Analytics in our checkout to measure whether an order was completed.
We then also measure visits with Shopify Analytics, so our webshop shows which pages and products are viewed and whether something ends up in the cart or checkout. For this Shopify places the cookies _shopify_y, _shopify_s and _shopify_analytics on craftiverse.nl.
We then also remember in your browser which channel you came through (for example Google, Pinterest or ChatGPT) and on which page. If you place an order, this is stored with your order so we can see which channels really work. If you withdraw consent, we delete this.
3. Marketing
Only if you allow marketing do we use the Pinterest tag from Pinterest Europe Ltd. (Ireland). It lets us measure how many visitors reach our website via Pinterest, what they do there (for example view a product, add something to the cart or complete an order) and what our ads on Pinterest achieve. For this, the tag places the cookies _pin_unauth, _pinterest_ct_ua, _epik and _derived_epik.
If you allow both statistics and marketing, we also measure this in our checkout. When you go to checkout and when you place an order, the amount, the products and your email address are sent to Pinterest, your email address only in hashed form (converted into a fixed code). This lets the order be linked to a visit via Pinterest. What Pinterest itself does with this data is set out in Pinterest's privacy policy.
With marketing switched on we also use Klaviyo (cookie __kla_id) to measure what our emails achieve, and we give Shopify consent for the marketing cookie _shopify_marketing.
4. Third-party cookies
Our checkout and payment processing run through Shopify and our payment providers. These parties may place their own functional cookies that are necessary to process your payment securely.
5. Changing or withdrawing your choice
On your first visit you choose "Necessary only", "Accept" or set your preference per category. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page or with the button below. If you withdraw consent, we delete the related cookies and stop measuring. Declining cookies has no effect on your use of the shop.
