How to make a polymer clay autumn leaf
A leaf in three autumn colours that blend into each other.

What you need
Clay in these colours
- Red
- Orange
- Yellow
- Sculpting tools from the kit
- An electric oven and baking paper. An adult does the baking.
Step by step
Roll a red, an orange and a yellow ball, all the same size.
Press them together in a row.
Roll them flat together with the roller.
Use the cutting tool to cut out a leaf with five rounded flaps.
Pinch little points along the edges of the leaf with your fingers.
Use the sculpting tool to scratch a vein down the middle.
From the vein, scratch small side veins out to each point.
Roll a small orange sausage and press it on at the bottom. Done!
Tip
Don’t roll for too long, or the colours will mix into one brown colour.
An adult does the baking
- 110–130 °C, never higher
- 10–15 minutes per 6 mm of thickness
- Electric oven only
