Baking & safe use
Polymer clay is oven-bake clay: your creations harden in the oven. Here's how to do it right.
- preheated oven, never above 130 °C
- 120–125 °C
- per 6 mm of thickness, max. 30 min

- not suitable for children under 8

- Preheat the oven to 120–125 °C and check it with an oven thermometer. Never above 130 °C.
- Bake on baking paper on a baking tray. Keep your creation 12 mm thick or less: 15 minutes per 6 mm, never longer than 30 minutes.
- Oven only: no air fryer, never a microwave. Don't bake it together with food.
- Let it cool slowly, not in cold water. The clay is only fully hard once it has cooled.
- An adult does the oven work. Open a window while baking.
- Not suitable for children under 8 years. For use under adult supervision. Don't put clay in your mouth and wash your hands afterwards.

- 2Knead the clay until soft and sculpt your creation on the work mat.
- 3An adult bakes it in a preheated oven at 120–125 °C.
- 4Let it cool slowly: only then is your creation fully hard.

No. Polymer clay is oven-bake clay: it hardens in the oven, not in the air. So you can take your time over a creation and bake it once it's finished.
An adult does the oven work. Preheat the oven to 120–125 °C, check it with an oven thermometer and never go above 130 °C. Allow 15 minutes per 6 mm of thickness. Keep your creation 12 mm thick or less, so you never bake longer than 30 minutes. Place your creations on baking paper on a baking tray and don't bake together with food. Then let them cool slowly on a heat-resistant surface, not in cold water. The clay only becomes fully hard once it has cooled, so don't bend your creation before then. Open a window while baking.
