How to make a polymer clay owl

What you need

Clay in these colours

  • Purple
  • White
  • Black
  • Orange
  • Pink
  • Sculpting tools from the kit
  • An electric oven and baking paper. An adult does the baking.

Step by step

  1. Roll a purple ball and pinch two pointy ears on top.

  2. Press a flat white oval onto the belly.

  3. Roll six thin purple strands and press them onto the belly as little arches.

  4. Press two small white discs in place as eyes, each with a small black ball in it.

  5. Press a small orange beak between the eyes.

  6. Press two pink wings and two orange feet in place. Done!

Tip

The bigger the eyes, the sweeter your owl looks.

An adult does the baking

  • 110–130 °C, never higher
  • 10–15 minutes per 6 mm of thickness
  • Electric oven only
