How to make a polymer clay aeroplane

What you need

Clay in these colours

  • White
  • Light blue
  • Red
  • Sculpting tools from the kit
  • An electric oven and baking paper. An adult does the baking.

Step by step

  1. Roll a white sausage: thick and round at the front, narrower at the back.

  2. Roll white clay flat and cut two wings with rounded tips.

  3. Press the wings on at both sides of the body.

  4. Make a small tail fin and two small tail wings.

  5. Press the fin and the tail wings on at the back.

  6. Press three light blue windows in a row onto the body.

  7. Roll a thin red sausage and press it along the body as a stripe.

  8. Press a red nose on at the front and a red piece onto the tail fin. Done!

Tip

Press the tail fin on firmly, so it stays upright.

An adult does the baking

  • 110–130 °C, never higher
  • 10–15 minutes per 6 mm of thickness
  • Electric oven only
