What you need
Clay in these colours

- An electric oven and baking paper. An adult does the baking.
Step by step
Roll a yellow ball for the body.
Make the ball oval and pinch a small point at the back.
Roll three thin black strands for the stripes.
Press the stripes around the back half of the body.
Make two flat white teardrops for the wings.
Press the wings upright onto the top of the back.
Make two black antennae, each with a small ball, and press them onto the head.
Press black eyes, a smile and pink cheeks onto the little face. Done!
Tip
Make the stripes thin, so they fit nicely around the body.
An adult does the baking
- 110–130 °C, never higher
- 10–15 minutes per 6 mm of thickness
