What you need

Clay in these colours

  • Purple
  • Pink
  • Yellow
  • Turquoise
  • Black
  • Sculpting tools from the kit
  • An electric oven and baking paper. An adult does the baking.

Step by step

  1. Roll a purple sausage for the body, a little thicker at the top.

  2. Roll pink clay flat with the roller.

  3. Cut two large and two small wings out of the sheet.

  4. Press the wings on at the back, against the body.

  5. Press four yellow and two turquoise dots flat onto the wings.

  6. Roll two thick purple antennae with a small ball at the end.

  7. Press the antennae on top of the head.

  8. Press two black eyes and a black smile onto the head. Done!

Tip

Make the antennae nice and thick, so they won’t break after baking.

An adult does the baking

  • 110–130 °C, never higher
  • 10–15 minutes per 6 mm of thickness
  • Electric oven only
