How to make a polymer clay avocado

What you need

- An oven, an oven thermometer and baking paper. An adult does the baking.
Step by step
Roll a green teardrop for the skin.
Press the teardrop flat into a thick slab.
Roll a smaller light green teardrop for the inside.
Press the light green teardrop flat onto the green one.
Roll a brown ball for the stone.
Press the stone in place at the bottom of the light green part.
Roll two small black balls, two tiny white ones, two small pink ones and a thin black strand.
Press the eyes with white dots, the cheeks and the mouth onto the stone. Done!
Tip
Leave a little green edge showing all the way round: that’s the skin.
An adult does the baking
- Preheat to 120–125 °C, never above 130 °C
- 15 minutes per 6 mm of thickness, max. 12 mm and 30 minutes
- Oven only: no air fryer or microwave
- Let it cool completely; attach cords and beads only after that
