What you need
Clay in these colours
- Red
- White
- Skin tone
- Dark brown
- Sculpting tools from the kit
- An electric oven and baking paper. An adult does the baking.
Step by step

Roll a red ball and shape it into a cone with a flat bottom.

Press two small dark brown ovals under the front as feet.

Press a flat white teardrop onto the front as the beard, with the point facing down.

Roll a skin-coloured ball and press it on top of the beard as the nose.

Shape a tall, hollow pointed hat from red clay.

Put the hat on the gnome and let it slide down until it sits just above the nose.

Lay a thick white band around the bottom of the hat.

Press a small white ball onto the tip of the hat. Done!
Tip
Let the hat slide down until it sits just above the nose. That gives your gnome his real gnome face, without any eyes.
An adult does the baking

- 10–15 minutes per 6 mm of thickness
