How to make a polymer clay reindeer

What you need

Clay in these colours

  • Brown
  • Beige
  • Red
  • Black
  • Sculpting tools from the kit
  • An electric oven and baking paper. An adult does the baking.

Step by step

  1. Roll a brown oval for the body.

  2. Roll four thick brown legs and press them on under the body.

  3. Roll a brown ball and press it on at the front as the head.

  4. Press a beige muzzle onto the head and a red nose on top of it.

  5. Press on two brown ears and a small brown tail.

  6. Roll two thick beige antlers with little branches.

  7. Press the antlers on top of the head, between the ears.

  8. Press two black eyes on above the muzzle. Done!

Tip

Don’t make the antlers too thin, or they will break after baking.

An adult does the baking

  • 110–130 °C, never higher
  • 10–15 minutes per 6 mm of thickness
  • Electric oven only
