How to make a polymer clay tulip

What you need

Clay in these colours

  • Red
  • Green
  • Sculpting tools from the kit
  • An electric oven and baking paper. An adult does the baking.

Step by step

  1. Roll a red teardrop.

  2. Make two flat, oval red petals.

  3. Press the petals against the teardrop on the left and right.

  4. Roll a green strand for the stem.

  5. Press the flower onto the top of the stem.

  6. Make two long, pointed green leaves.

  7. Press the leaves against the bottom of the stem on the left and right.

  8. Bend the leaves outwards a little. Done!

Tip

Make three in different colours for a little bouquet.

An adult does the baking

  • 110–130 °C, never higher
  • 10–15 minutes per 6 mm of thickness
  • Electric oven only
