How to make a polymer clay fox

What you need

Clay in these colours

  • Orange
  • White
  • Black
  • Sculpting tools from the kit
  • An electric oven and baking paper. An adult does the baking.

Step by step

  1. Roll an orange egg shape for the body.

  2. Press an orange ball of the same size onto the body as the head.

  3. Press two white teardrops onto the cheeks and a long one onto the belly.

  4. Make two small orange triangles with white inside and press them on as ears.

  5. Press two black eyes and a black nose onto the face.

  6. Roll two small black balls and press them on at the bottom as paws.

  7. Roll a thick orange tail with a white tip.

  8. Press the tail on and curl it forward around the body. Done!

Tip

Mix a tiny bit of white into the orange for a softer fur colour.

An adult does the baking

  • 110–130 °C, never higher
  • 10–15 minutes per 6 mm of thickness
  • Electric oven only
