What you need

Clay in these colours

  • Grey
  • Light pink
  • Black
  • White
  • Sculpting tools from the kit
  • An electric oven and baking paper. An adult does the baking.

Step by step

  1. Roll a grey ball and shape it into a fat teardrop for the body.

  2. Roll four short, thick grey sausages for the legs.

  3. Press the legs on: two at the front and two at the sides.

  4. Roll a big grey ball for the head. Pull out a trunk, with the tip pointing up.

  5. Press the head firmly onto the body.

  6. Press two small grey balls flat into ears and press light pink circles into them.

  7. Press the ears on at the sides of the head.

  8. Press on black eyes, light pink cheeks and white toenails. Done!

Tip

Press the heavy head firmly onto the body, so your little elephant stays sitting up nicely.

An adult does the baking

  • 110–130 °C, never higher
  • 10–15 minutes per 6 mm of thickness
  • Electric oven only
