How to make a polymer clay pear

What you need

Clay in these colours

  • Light green
  • Brown
  • Green
  • Black
  • White
  • Pink
  • Sculpting tools from the kit
  • An electric oven and baking paper. An adult does the baking.

Step by step

  1. Roll a light green ball for the pear.

  2. Shape it into a teardrop with a wide bottom.

  3. Roll a brown stalk. Make a flat green leaf with a line in it.

  4. Press the stalk on top and the leaf next to it.

  5. Roll two small black balls and two tiny white balls for the eyes.

  6. Press the eyes on and press a white dot onto each eye.

  7. Roll two small pink balls for the cheeks and a thin black strand.

  8. Press on the cheeks, and the strand as a smiling mouth. Done!

Tip

Stand the pear upright on the table for a moment, and the bottom will go flat by itself.

An adult does the baking

  • 110–130 °C, never higher
  • 10–15 minutes per 6 mm of thickness
