What you need

Clay in these colours

  • Light brown
  • Brown
  • Sculpting tools from the kit
  • An electric oven and baking paper. An adult does the baking.

Step by step

  1. Roll a light brown ball.

  2. Use the roller to roll it flat into a round disc.

  3. Make another disc the same size.

  4. Make the same kind of disc from brown clay for the syrup.

  5. Put the brown disc on a light brown disc.

  6. Put the other disc on top and gently press the edges together.

  7. Use the cutting tool to press straight lines side by side into the top.

  8. Then press lines going the other way, so you get little diamonds. Done!

Tip

Keep the lines the same distance apart, so the diamonds come out nice and even.

An adult does the baking
